Expanded Provider Relief Fund Eligibility for Phase 3 General Distribution Funding

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has announced the latest Provider Relief Fund (PRF) application period for the Phase 3 General Distribution has been expanded to include provider applicants such as assisted living facilities, nursing service and related providers, residential treatment facilities, behavioral health providers and several other provider types. For more information on the expanded eligibility of Phase 3 General Distribution provider types, please visit the PRF website.

As a reminder: All Phase 3 applicants have until 11:59PM EST on November 6, 2020 to submit their applications for payment consideration.

Updates to PRF Reporting Requirements

HHS has amended the reporting instructions for PRF payment recipients. After reimbursing healthcare related expenses attributable to coronavirus that were unreimbursed by other sources, providers may utilize the remaining PRF money towards lost revenue measured as a negative change in year-over-year actual revenue from patient care related sources
